Call of Duty has featured several crossovers with major franchises, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collab is planned for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded with a Shredder Operator revealed.
Following on from the success of Fortnite‘s collaborations, Call of Duty has included characters from some of the biggest franchises out there, with Ghostface, Rambo, John McClane, and The Terminator hitting the store.
Following the soccer players arriving in Season 1, Call of Duty have announced that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2‘s next collaboration will be with the ever-popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
Tweeting on March 8, the Call of Duty account announced that “a new evil will rise,” showing off the gear and silhouette of Shredder, the main antagonist of TMNT. We can clearly see his Steel Claws and iconic helmet with a bit of a modern military look.
The date for the crossover is March 21, which is roughly one week after the Season 2 Reloaded update‘s expected March 15 start date.
With Season 2 having a Japanese samurai theme, Shredder fits right in with Ashika Island and the rest of the content. Whether other characters will arrive remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t expect to see humanoid turtles on Ashika Island.
Like any bundle associated with another franchise, Shredder should arrive in the store for 2,400 CoD Points ($19.99), bringing Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Emblems, and more.
Season 2 Reloaded will also bring a new Raid for Modern Warfare 2, a brand-new multiplayer map, and the Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle.
