Luckily, there’s a simple measure that you can employ to prevent your Fortnite account from getting hacked. Getting two-factor authentication is incredibly easy, and it can save your personal information from falling into the wrong hands.
How to enable Fortnite 2FA
As the name implies, Fortnite 2FA lets you pick two factors to protect your account security. If your password is compromised, then the hacker won’t be able to access your account without having your SMS, email, or app authenticator.

Turning Fortnite 2FA on couldn’t be any simpler. It’s a four-step process.

- Visit your Epic Games Account page
- Click on the Password and Security Tab
- Under two-factor authentication, select between App, SMS, or Email
- Verify your details for each authenticator
That’s all you need to do! Now, signing into your Epic Games account will require you to access your authenticator. If you type in the correct information, you will receive a special code that will let you log in.
While 2FA will make the process of logging onto Fortnite slightly longer, it’s worth it to keep your personal information secure. This can prove incredibly useful if you have dropped money into the battle royale.
